NBRC has successfully detoxed hundreds of patients in recent years, our finely tuned medication and treatment protocols are extremely refined and highly effective.  Let's just say we have it down to a "science".  Keeping patients comfortable throughout the entire detox process is our obsession.  We do this by utilizing a number of extremely effective medications and treatment methods.

Tell me more about your detox program....

If you are in a state of withdrawal when you come to our office, you are promptly medicated during the intake process.  The use of Suboxone®and Subutex® may be used to manage opiate cravings and withdrawal symptoms.  Medications are used to address insomnia, constipation, reduce anxiety, reduce leg and stomach cramps, reduce nausea and manage withdrawal pain and cravings.  Naltrexone® may be used to block opiates and reduce cravings in post detox treatment.  We address what has been depleted in the body during the entire opiate usage episode with a highly targeted oral vitamin, amino acid and supplement regimen.  Complex vitamin injections jump start the healing and promote overall well being.

We are happy to provide you around the clock 7 day a week coaching and support by telephone, email and in our offices - we are always on call.  A caring and attentive staff that strives to serve our most precious asset - YOU!

We also offer a Suboxone® or a Non-Suboxone® Accelerated Opiate Detox Program

How our program works:

Intake Process and Psychosocial Assessment

A preliminary assessment is conducted and the patient is evaluated at the start of the outpatient detox program.   The NBRC Program requirements, the various treatment options, and the program is fully explained during this process.  A medication plan is created and reviewed with patient.

Pre-Procedure Medical Evaluation

The detoxification process begins with all NBRC patients receiving a complete medical history and physical examination. This includes a urine toxicology screen. NBRC has a multi-disciplinary team that cares for the patient throughout detoxification.

Suboxone® Opiate Detox Program Description

Induction Phase - Beginning the Process of Detoxification

The Induction Phase is the medically monitored start up of detox.  Suboxone® or other medications are dispensed when an opioid-dependent individual has abstained from using opioids for 10-12 hours or is in the early stages of opioid withdrawal. You have the option to come into our office in a state of withdrawal (recommended), or you can take you medication with you and start your induction at home. Other medications may be prescribed at this time to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, assist with sleep and reduce anxiety.

Note: it is highly recommended that you start your detox induction in our office under the medical supervision of our experienced clinicians.  We can address any condition that may arise in this process on the spot. The initial dose of Suboxone® is the most important one.  We take every measure to ensure a safe and successful start.

Stabilization Phase – Controlling the Cravings and Withdrawal Symptoms

The Stabilization Phase has begun when the patient no longer has cravings for opiates.

Taper Phase – Getting Free

The Taper Phase is reached when the patient is doing well on a steady dose of Suboxone®.  The patient is then stepped-down from the Suboxone® therapy until they are drug-free.   The exact length of treatment is determined by assessing the patient's treatment goals, the length of the dependency and other medical considerations.  Our patients do have a say in the length of treatment.

The Post Acute Withdrawal Phase

The Taper Phase followed by the Post Acute Withdrawal Phase.  Suboxone® and other medications handle the "acute" symptoms during the Taper Phase.  After patients "jump off" Suboxone® or other symptom managing medications, different medications are introduced to manage any Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms (PAWS).    Patients may be started on a regimen of various amino acids and vitamins during the Taper Phase to promote rapid neoro health and to prepare the brain for the ultimate event of stopping all forms of opiates.

Outpatient Counseling Therapy

All patients enrolled on our detox programs get supportive counseling included in the p[rice of the detox.  In addition, they have the option to attend our Out-Patient counseling program consisting of either Intensive Outpatient or individual therapy while in detox run by a team of experienced professionals. We offer therapy options that will fit any schedule.

Psychiatric Evaluation Included

NBRC offers a variety of Psychiatric Services from Evaluation and Follow Up Treatment. Psychiatric Services are utilized to treat patients with Dual Diagnosis Disorder, or Co-Occurring Disorder. Frequently mental health disorders can lie underneath and in some cases fuel substance dependency. Some of the therapies utilized include Psychotherapy, Bio-Feedback Therapy, Hypnosis Therapy and Medication Management

All patients enrolled in our programs, have the option for a no cost Psychiatric Evaluation performed by a Board Certified Psychiatric staff member in addition to the basic services of each program.  Ongoing Psychiatric Services are also an option for our patients.

So now those that have struggled with depression, anxiety or any other co-occurring disorder, have the opportunity to get the substance dependency and the underlying psychiatric issues treated concurrently.
