| OPIATE DETOX PROGRAM
New Beginnings Recovery Center (NBRC) offers a revolutionary approach and alternative to
conventional opiate detoxification and In-Patient treatment programs.
Safely detox from:
PAINKILLERS - ALL OPIATES
New Beginnings Detox utilizes various methods to manage opiate withdrawal symptoms and ensure complete comfort during detoxification. Having successfully detoxed hundreds of patients in recent years, our finely tuned medication and treatment protocols are extremely refined and highly effective. Let's just say we have it down to a "science". Keeping patients comfortable throughout the entire detox process is our obsession. We do this by utilizing a number of extremely effective medications and treatment methods. We also offer a Suboxone® or a Non-Suboxone® Accelerated Opiate Detox Program.

So, how do I get started?
How our program works: Intake Process and Psychosocial Assessment A preliminary assessment is conducted and the patient is evaluated to determine if they are eligible for the Out-Patient Program. In some cases, this may have already been done on the telephone prior to arrival. The NBD Program requirements, the various treatment options, and the fees are all discussed. A confidential interview, intake and orientation is conducted. A medication plan is created and reviewed with patient. Pre-Procedure Medical Evaluation The detoxification process begins with all NBD patients receiving a complete medical history and physical examination. This includes a urine toxicology screen. Our doctors remain a part of the multi-disciplinary team that cares for the patient throughout detoxification.
SUBOXONE® OPIATE DETOX TREATMENT Induction Phase - Beginning the Process of Detoxification The Induction Phase is the medically monitored startup of detox. Suboxone® and other medications are dispensed when an opioid-dependent individual has abstained from using opioids for 10-12 hours or is in the early stages of opioid withdrawal. You have the option to come into our office in a state of withdrawal (recommended), or you can take you medication with you and start your induction at home. Other medications may be prescribed at this time to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, assist with sleep and reduce anxiety. Note: it is highly recommended that you start your detox induction in our office under the medical supervision of our experienced clinicians. We can address any condition that may arise in this process on the spot. The initial dose of Suboxone® is the most important one. We take every measure to ensure a safe and successful start.
Stabilization Phase – Controlling the Cravings and Withdrawal Symptoms The Stabilization Phase has begun when the patient no longer has cravings for opiates. Taper Phase – Getting Free The Taper Phase is reached when the patient is doing well on a steady dose of Suboxone®. The patient is then stepped-down from the Suboxone® therapy until they are drug-free. The entire detox including the taper is typically over 6-8 weeks. The exact length of treatment is determined by considering the patients treatment goals and discussing the pros and cons of various lengths of treatment. This taper phase can be as little as 1 week and as long as 12 weeks. The Post Acute Withdrawal Phase The Taper Phase followed by the Post Acute Withdrawal Phase. Suboxone® and other medications handle the "acute" symptoms during the Taper Phase. After patients "jump off" Suboxone® or other symptom managing medications, different medications are introduced to manage the Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms (PAWS). These symptoms, although much milder than the acute symptoms a patient might have experienced before the detox, can still be present for a period of time after the "jump off". NBD utilizes a host of medications to address any conceivable PAWS. We also start patients on a regimen of various amino acids and vitamins during the Taper Phase to promote brain health and to prepare the brain for the ultimate event of stopping all forms of opiates. OUT-PATIENT COUNSELING THERAPY All patients have the option to attend our Out-Patient counseling program while in detox run by a team of experienced professionals. We offer several group and individual therapy options that will fit any schedule.
