Individual Counseling

New Beginnings Recovery Center offers a wide range of individual counseling options available to its clients. All of our staff therapists are Masters or PhD level of education and are Certified Addiction Professionals (CAP) with have extensive backgrounds in addiction counseling. NRBC offers both male and female therapists having specialties in many areas.  

Substance Abuse Groups

We offer several substance abuse groups.  Combining, psycho-education with process therapy, this is the most dynamic and healthy environment for those  seeking  to pursue recovery in a serious manner.  Whether enrolled in one of our detox programs, or just seeking to step your recovery to a new level, this is by far the most effective way to start a foundation for sound recovery.

Gambling Programs

For many, gambling or gaming can be a social activity with entertainment value. Perhaps you go to a casino or gaming parlor for dinner and  a few hours at the Back Jack table or one of the many slot machines. You may lose or win but when it’s time to go home, it’s time to go. You’ve had your fun and the evening is over.  Others, however, are not so fortunate. Once into the “action” of the game they cannot stop and call it a night. An incredibly powerful mental obsession keeps them gambling long past the time to quit.

Interventions

What is an intervention? An intervention is a strategic pre-treatment instrument that brings together the most powerful forces in the life of a loved one to effect the greatest impact moving them from denial to treatment. Interventions are facilitated by a person skilled in performing interventions with the knowledge and skill necessary to bring about the most positive outcome.

Christian  Programs

With as staff member as member of the clergy, we offer biblically based Christian individual, marital and family counseling. With an emphasis on the spiritual side of recovery, many find solace by the realization that addiction is a spiritual malady.  The big Book of AA says "We have a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition."  This is certainly one way maintaining that "condition".   

Family Care

We realize that addiction is a family disease.  When the substance abuse gets sick, the entire family is sick.  Have you been an "enabler"?, Have you "aided and abetted" those in your household? Is your family paying the price for one member's substance abuse? This family counseling program holds the key to teaching families how to establish healthy boundaries and how to stop being a part of the problem.  

Adolescent Services and Detoxification

We offer individual counseling and substance abuse groups for adolescents. Treating the addictions of young adults is different from treating children or older adults. It is an urgent problem because the human brain does not fully develop until age thirty.  Young adults who abuse chemicals often have underlying problems that must be addressed if they are to recover. We are willing to work around difficult school schedules.
