What is an intervention? An intervention is a strategic pre-treatment instrument that brings together the most powerful forces in the life of a loved one to effect the greatest impact moving them from denial to treatment. Interventions are facilitated by a person skilled in performing interventions with the knowledge and skill necessary to bring about the most positive outcome.

Who would be appropriate for an Intervention?

Answer: Any person struggling with life controlling issues, that are producing

significant negative consequences may be appropriate for an Intervention

What is included in our Intervention and how much does it cost?

Answer: The cost of an intervention will vary depending on the services

needed, requested and required, taking into account both family and patient.

Some or all of the services offered during an intervention might include:

• Initial pre-intervention phone consultation
• Initial pre-intervention meeting with significant others
• Needs assessment of patient and family
• Intervention work day
• Intervention
• Post-intervention counseling for family
• Aftercare planning session
• Aftercare and  outpatient services for patient
• Transportation assessment and facilitation
• Admission counseling
