A full staff including a board certified physician, medical clinicians, LPN, Certified Addiction Professionals (CAP) and other addiction specialists administer the program. We are fully licensed with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Meet The Staff:
Jack Schocoff, MD — Medical Director

Dr. Schocoff has amassed many years experience in addiction medicine. Having graduated from the University of Florida and the University of Miami, Dr. Shocoff has had many years in successful private practice. His experience in the addiction field dates back to 1987 and has since been affiliated with The Palm Beach Institute, Drug Abuse Foundation (DAF), and the West Palm Beach Methadone Clinic. But most important, is his passion to help the hurting. His unique experience is a tremendous asset in the successful treatment of addictive disorders.
Dennis J. Hansen—Executive Director

Dennis Hansen has achieved success in various businesses and having gained victory over opiate addiction in the past, Dennis brings a special form of compassion and experience to our patients. Armed with the knowledge of what works and what does not work in addiction treatment, he has a special insight into what it takes to be “drug free”. Dennis has live in Palm Beach County for the last 15 years, has been married for 23 years and has 2 children. He is active in various local recovery programs and church ministries. A Christian value system influences his relationship with his patients.
Don Wicklman Ph.D — D.Min., LMFT, CAP, NCGCII
Clinical Director

Don Wicklman, is a pastor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Addiction Professional and a Compulsive Gambling Counselor, Don has devoted many years to private practice as well as to clinics and treatment centers. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he attended Southern Illinois University for his Bachelor of Science degree. He obtained his Ph.D. in Ministry and Pastor Counseling at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. He and his wife, Annette, reside in Lake Worth. They have three sons, Nathan who resides in Australia, Simon in Boca Raton and Timothy resides in Indiana.
Robert T. Hansen—Chief Operating Officer

Robert T. Hansen, resides in Port St. Lucie, FL with his wife JoLynn. They have five children and ten grandchildren. Mr. Hansen grew up in Philadelphia and graduated with a BS Degree in Accounting and Law from LaSalle University. Over the years he has been an entrepreneur owning, developing and operating numerous successful businesses. Mr. Hansen’s interest in recovery began years ago when family members became involved in drugs. The pain they suffered through drug detoxification created an indelible image that “no one should have to endure”. Today they don’t have to. Our detox program is virtually “pain free” and can be done at home or while the patient continues to work.
Ana Williams — Administrative Director

Ana Williams is a recent graduate of the University of Florida. She is currently working towards her Masters in Mental Health counseling. She hopes to utilize her education and experience to help people suffering with mental health and substance abuse issues. Ana brings a wide array of administrative skills to New Beginnings Detox. Her caring voice is the first sound one hears when calling our office.
Christina M. Hansen — Administrative Assistant

Christina Hansen is currently a senior at Seminole Ridge High School. She maintains a 3.95 grade point average. She has a passion to help the hurting and is helping administer the every day operation of New Beginnings Recovery Center. Christina’s interests include her faith and her studies. Christina is also a talented singer. Her caring attitude makes her a real asset to New Beginnings Detox.
Tara Healey LCSW— Staff Therapist

Tara Healey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been working with substance abuse and mental health clients in both private practice and treatment centers since 1997. She has experience working with adults and adolescents. Tara helps individuals overcome challenges related to addiction, anxiety and depression. She is from South Carolina, but has lived in Florida for 13 years. She is married, has an 8 year old son and a new baby girl. Tara brings extensive experience with developing life skills in addition to her addiction related experience. She is also available for private individual sessions.
