Meet The Staff:
Stephen J. Pacetti , MD
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Addiction Medicine Physician

Dr. Pacetti completed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida and attended medical school at the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. His training includes Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, N.J. and three years of Pediatric training at The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/NJ Medical School. Also, he completed his NICU training at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ. Dr. Pacetti has a passion for those suffering with addiction. Being a leader in his church's recovery ministry has given him a unique insight to aid those in need. |

Dennis Hansen has achieved success in various businesses and having gained victory over opiate addiction in the past, Dennis brings a special form of compassion and experience to our patients. Armed with the knowledge of what works and what does not work in addiction treatment, he has a special insight into what it takes to be “drug free”. Dennis has live in Palm Beach County for the last 17 years, has been married for 23 years and has 2 children. He is active in various local recovery programs and church ministries. A Christian value system influences his relationship with his patients. |
Robert T. Hansen

Robert T. Hansen, resides in Port St. Lucie, FL with his wife JoLynn. They have five children and ten grandchildren. Mr. Hansen grew up in Philadelphia and graduated with a BS Degree in Accounting and Law from LaSalle University. Over the years he has been an entrepreneur owning, developing and operating numerous successful businesses. Mr. Hansen’s interest in recovery began years ago when family members became involved in drugs. The pain they suffered through drug detoxification created an indelible image that “no one should have to endure”. Today they don’t have to. Our detox program is virtually “pain free” and can be done at home or while the patient continues to work. |

Melanie is a Certified Addiction Professional, and received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from South University. She is a nationally certified Physician Assistant and has over 15 years of emergency medicine experience. She realized the direction of her life had changed after finding freedom from opiate addiction herself through a strong belief in the 12 Step philosophy. Melanie began to dedicate her life to helping others find their way to recovery. With the help of a strong faith in God, she has become a champion of those who have the desire to change their lives for the better. She is a native Floridian who resides in Wellington with her husband, Barry. She has three children, a daughter who is married, a son in his sophomore year of college, and a daughter who is a junior in high school.
Melanie believes addiction can be overcome by accepting the help of others, committing to change, and finding a belief in something greater than oneself. Melanie is also a trained Psychiatric Physician Assistant. She can evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with co-occuring disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.

Julie received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York Institute of Technology. She counseled victims and witnesses of domestic abuse for a number of years. Having survived an abusive relationship herself, Julie loves people and wants them to understand their worth. She also has an extensive background in accounting and managing people, working in the public accounting field for over 15 years. Julie has the privilege of working in various ministries which include teaching, counseling women and married couples, and leadership development within the Christian community. She has lived in Florida for over 30 years with her husband, Richard and their two teenagers. Julie knows that we are in this life together, isolation is unhealthy, and life’s issues can be overcome by reaching out for assistance and committing to change oneself. |

Christine was born and raised in Florida and is the mother of 3. She has facilitated many studies for recovery and led women’s support groups. She has a great passion to help those that desire to lose weight - particularly those that struggle with compulsive addictions including food addiction. Her vast knowledge and experience coupled with her administrative skills makes her a real asset to New Beginnings Detox

Sea has over 30 years experience in managing various retail environments, from buying offices in NYC to her favorite beach town here in Jupiter Florida. She is a artist at heart and loves her creative ventures. Sea has overcome her addictions through working a Christian based recovery program. Sea brings a host of talents to New Beginnings. Sea is a natural with helping others to begin feeling better about themselves by coaching them to attain personal fulfillment. She is the first smiling face you will see at our Palm Beach Gardens office.

Christina is a student at Keiser University. She assists administratively at all locations. She has the opportunity to use her passion to help others by working at NBD. Christina assists in office administration for both Addiction Medicine and our Medical Weight Loss Division. Her sweet and soothing voice may be the first thing you hear when calling our offices. |
Sue Kuhn, CAP
Staff Therapist

Sue Kuhn is a certified addiction professional (CAP). She has been working in all aspects of chemical dependency treatment since 1986 including residential, detox, outpatient, extended care, half way house, transitional living and intensive outpatient. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Sue grew up in Philadelphia but has lived in Florida for 11 years. She is married and is the proud mother of two mixed labs. Sue brings with her a compassion for those afflicted with addiction and a strong, positive energy for recovery. |
